(NORTHAMPTON, MA) - On Monday night, the Northampton HS Blue Devils Girls Lacrosse Team hosted the Falcons from Minnechaug Regional HS (Wilbraham, MA). The contest was the last match of the season for each team. The Falcons play East Longmeadow this Thursday in the PVIAC Western Mass Playoffs. Minnechaug still has a chance to make the MIAA State Tournament.
These two opponents met earlier this month. Minnechaug won easily 16-1.
The Falcons played aggressively the entire game. Most of the action throughout the game was Minnechaug attacking the Northampton goal. They also played very good defense in the first half. Minnechaug led 6-1 at the end of the first.
In the second half, Northampton picked up their offensive production. They competed more on defense which got them opportunities on the offensive end.

The early onslaught from Minnechaug was too much for Northampton to overcome. The Falcons left Hampshire County with a “W”, beating the Blue Devils 13-5.
Minnechaug’s Jayme Cerasuolo scored a game-high 5 goals.
